Workflow with FCP->PremierePro->DaVinci->AE:

  • Get FCP.xml
  • Import in PremierePro
  • Locate Files
  • Export to FCP.xml
  • Edit pproimport.xml //?/ to //localhost/
  • Import in DaVinci
  • Conform/ColorGrade/Render
  • Davinci: Easy: None / Render as "Target" DPX 10bit

optional:

  • Davinci:Render Easy Solution Final CutExport
  • Davinci:Conform Export Timeline as XML
  • Import .xml in AE with AutomaticDuck Import
  • Import DPX in AfterEffects
  • Make AE Magic (Denoise, Sharpen, etc)
  • Render in AE

  • New PremierePro-Project

  • Open in PremierePro
  • Add RenderedClip from AE
  • Add AudioTrack again

optional:

  • Export to/Import in AfterEffects (depends if you want one track or several clips in AE

Workflow for VFX: Use Case: Editor->CC->VFX:

  1. Edit in Premiere/Final Cut(yuk)/whatever
  2. Export Clips with VFX to transport format (like dnxhd)
  3. Reimport this clips to Timeline
  4. a) Send Clips to VFX
  5. b) Send Timeline (e.g. Final Cut XML) to CC
  6. To CC, when VFX done, just import/replace them in CC Suite (e.g. Edit in Resolve)
